Forget the “no such thing as a free lunch” thing. There’s nothing quite like free stuff, especially when it sounds this good.
I’m especially a fan of Ages and Ages “Divisionary” (Do the right thing, do the right thing / Do it all the time, do it all the time / Do the right thing, do the right thing / Don’t you know you’re not the only one suffering?), Pure Bathing Culture’s shimmery, blissed-out dream pop, Eagulls noisy indie 80s rock ala the Clash and Depeche Mode, the throw-down thrash rock of the Wytches, and Chris Denny’s New Orleans-style honky tonk romp on “If the Roses Don’t Kill Us.”
Head on over to NoiseTrade (link above) and download the 10-song sampler now, and leave a nice tip if you like the tunes/care about supporting a legit artist-run independent label.
